On the final day of Rio Olympics, Indian wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt has a shot at fetching India a medal. India’s third medal hopes in Rio 2016 Olympics now rest with wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt who will commence his campaign in the 65kg freestyle wrestling today at 5 pm IST. He would be up against Ganzorigiin Mandakhnaran of Mongolia in the first round but faces a tricky draw ahead. He is hoping to finish it off in style to make it big at Rio 2016. He needs to strike big so that the hopes for medal will be on and it would be nice to see him getting ready with a lot of confidence.
Yogeshwar‘s journey to securing an Olympic quota place hasn’t been very smooth. Having recovered from three surgeries in 2015, Yogeshwar managed to book a ticket to Rio this year.
Now expectations are high and he himself wants to bid adieu the wrestling arena with a second straight medal at the Olympics. India have already clinched a bronze and silver medal through wrestler Sakshi Malik and shuttler PV Sindhu, and Yogeshwar stands a good chance of bagging India its first gold since Abhinav Bindra in 2008.
London Olympics bronze-medallist Yogeshwar Dutt is trying hard not to let his spirits go down. All he wanted to do is to fulfill the wishes of the Indians and grab a third medal for the country. Yogeshwar Dutt is trying hard not to let the Narsingh Yadav episode affect him. There is a lot of support coming on for him at Rio 2016 from everyone. Hope he makes it big.
