India’s Got Talent (IGT) is back with its seventh season with the same hosts (Bharti Singh and Sidharth Shukla) and the same judges (Malaika Arora Khan, Karan Johar and Kirror Kher) as last year. Over the years, the show has spotted some of the most talent in India across genres like dance, art, magic, singing etc. The seventh season is all set to premiere on April 30 at 9pm on Colors.
After judging season 5 and 6, the trio is returning for their third stint. While the show truly celebrates the unique talent of India, the judges add to the entertainment quotient of the show.
While Karan is always teased for being obsessively on his cellphone, Malaika keeps a lot of munchies hidden in her desk, and Kirron is the one voice of reason who’s also pretty strict as a judge. Of course, her sarees and jewellery are worth watching out for.
After the wrap of the previous seasons, doubts arose whether BJP MP Kher would return as a judge due to her political and social engagements. However, she joined back on board for the 7th edition as well. In the new season, viewers can expect to see performances like sand art, beat boxing, mind-reading, underwater and water-sport acts, aerial yoga, horse acrobatics, and, for the first time, ice-skating and sky-diving acts.
This edition will also see the team travel to every nook and cranny of the country to bring to the fore unheard of talents looking for a stage to perform. Further, special episodes will celebrate rustic and traditional art forms which have lost their individuality over the years.
