Bollywood sports drama movie Sultan which features Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma in lead roles is now few inches away from touching the great Rs 300 crore mark at box office India. Till date the movie is giving tough competition to many other Hindi ventures including the likes of recently released Dishoom. The film took off on a great note and earned Rs. 30+ crore in the first five days.
The actor has received huge appreciations from all for his brilliant performance in the movie. His co-star Anushka Sharma has also left strong impact over audience with her performance. Critics have also reacted in favor of Sultan, which generated strong word of mouth about it and made it the third highest grossing movie of all time in a least time period.
Now Sultan is running in its fourth week and did the business of 3.06 crores in the weekend with 0.57 crores of Friday, 0.98 crore of Saturday and 1.51 crore of Sunday. In weekdays being normal working days, the movie again started getting lower occupancy in theaters. On the next day, it showed slight rise in its business and minted 0.36 crore. On Wednesday, the movie reported slight drop and estimated to add the amount of 0.32 crore* to its account. With this, 29 days domestic total of Sultan will become 297.88 crores*.
Sultan collection has dropped massively in its fourth week and the film has been earning in lakhs. It looks a bit difficult for the film to earn over Rs. 16 crore in its remaining theatrical run worldwide, but the overseas collection might take its total to over Rs. 586.45 crore to beat Baahubali.
