After making new records on the big screen Sultan has finally completed its 3 weeks run over box office yesterday. It has beaten all Bollywood movies’ lifetime business finally but the film has shown big drop in its third week as its collections in the third week have been affected by release of new films. With commendable scores and applauds from the public film dropped around 75% from the second week collections.
The third week collections were lesser than the likes of recent movies which were around 20-25% higher than Sultan movie third week but still overall it has set its status on top. Sultan, has crossed the Rs 550 crore mark. With numerous collections in the opening weekend and week, the film tried well in third week and earned good figures but now with the fourth week Sultan has dropped its occupancy and income up to a great limit.
In the third week it has Rajinikanth starrer much awaited Kabali in opposite. Despite this giant release, Salman Khan’s Sultan remained unaffected and reported the business of 11.09 crores in the third weekend and took its domestic total to 289.05 crores. In overseas market, the movie did the business of 151.92 crores till its 19 days.
Once again, Sultan is running in weekdays and as usual witnessing lesser occupancy than before. On Monday it faced the drop of almost 40% than last Friday and minted the amount of 1.30 crore. Then on Tuesday, it recorded slight more drop and raked 1.25 crore. On Wednesday, again the movie reported little more drop than previous day and as per the report estimated to add 1.15 crore* to its account as 22nd day collection. With this, 23 days total collection of Sultan will become 292.75 crores* on domestic box office.
