Sultan being a hurricane at the Box Office, smashed out more than 10+ records at the domestic BO. With the Sultan being one of the biggies in the Salman Khan’s career, the flick has done a fabulous business at the BO. Later, the 19th-day collection for the flick will again be nearby Rs 3 – 4 crore*. With the input, Sultan will make it closer to overtake Baahubali: The Beginning, which holds the record of minting Rs 586.45 crore at the worldwide Box Office. Sultan has till now grossed more than Rs 530 crore at the Worldwide box office.
In the opening week, Sultan received overwhelmed response from audience and reported phenomenal business of 229.16 crores, included 180.36 crores of weekend and 48.80 crores of weekdays. In the second week, the movie remained unaffected despite new release Great Grand Masti and witnessed usual drop. It did the business of 34.07 crores in its second weekend and 14.73 crores in weekdays.
Now Sultan has entered in its third week and witnesses slight rise in occupancy due to weekend. On Friday, it did the business of 2.14 crores with considerable drop than previous day. On Saturday, being weekend it showed decent growth and minted 3.52 crores. On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, it reported more rise in its occupancy and estimated to collect 4.70 crores* to its account.
After the release of Sultan, Great Grand Masti hit the silver screens but fails to compete with Sultan and Now the latest film Madaari competing with Sultan. The main film which has effected the film was Kabali of Rajnikanth which acquire a lot of occupancy. Sultan has made many records and become the first movie to have a collection of more than 400 Cr in the Bollywood industry. The film Kabali was expected to cross the first day box office collection of Sultan but it fails.
