Sultan is a juggernaut which refuses to stop. The Salman Khan, Anushka Sharma film has earned a gross of Rs 320 crore at the box office and is still going strong. The net profit of Sultan in India is Rs 229.16 crore at BO and the international figures for the film are yet to come in. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted that the film is akready Salman’s second biggest hit ever, having left Kick behind. The big question, however, is if it can breach the Rs 300-crore mark in net domestic business.
After dominating domestic Box Office for nine continuous days, Salman Khan’s Sultan has finally witnessed some considerable drop with the release of new films. While, the release of new films, Great Grand Masti and Ice Age Collision hasn’t really impacted Sultan, it was the reduction in the screen count which seems to be affecting the movie. As per the reports coming, Sultan performed better than both new releases. The movie is expected to collect around 7 crores to 8 crores on its second Friday.
Eid’s moon is always lucky for Salman from last 2 years. Last year also Eid fell just a day after the initial release of BB, giving an extra day to the movie to perform well on the screens. The film earned over Rs. 300 crores (Gross) Worldwide in its five-day long opening weekend but the flick collection started to fall after Monday. However, Sultan was not able to challenge many records such as Highest opening during ever. Film left behind with 36.54 crore rupees on Day 1 from 44.97 cr nett day one record of Happy New Year and 41.75 cr nett of Salman Khan’s own PRDP.
