Ajay Devgn-starrer Shivaay opened with a collection of Rs 10.24 cr. The film saw the low opening during morning shows. Shivaay witnessed around 25% occupancy and registered slow growth in metros. The film is expected to pick up during the extended weekend.


Shivaay was strong in single screens, as compared to multiplexes. The film has released on 2800-3000 screens. Shivaay has been made at an approximate budget of Rs 105 crore with Rs 20 crore spent on promotions. It has already earned Rs 50 crore through sale of rights.

As per the report, on its third day Shivaay reported slightly lesser response than Saturday and estimated to add the amount of 9.70 crores* to its account. With this, its opening weekend total box office collection is set to become 30 crores* on domestic box office.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil 4th Day Box Office Collection

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (ADHM) today faced the most difficult situation when it comes against Shivaay. The clash of two movies had destroyed every hope of breaking Shah Rukh Khan’s record of 44.97 crore rupees domestic (nett) as one day earnings in bollywood. The diwali was a big day for ADHM collection as it was expected to set a new record on the box office.


Opening occupancy of 48% was observed in theaters which was a great number considering the number of viewers and fans of superstars. Film did solid business in multiplexes as many theaters even run the multiple shows of the same film at the same timing. The demand was very great and it totalled to an amazing business with many housefull shows in the metropolitan cities.
