Karan Johar must be on cloud nine today. His Diwali 2016 release Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has emerged the clear winner in the big Bollywood clash by crossing the Rs 100-crore mark at the box office in India. Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay is yet to achieve that feat as far as the domestic box office collection is concerned.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil needed 12 days to enter the coveted Rs 100-crore club in India. Shivaay, on the other hand, will need some time to cross that mark.
Ever since the trailers of Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay hit the web, their fans have been waiting for the films. Student Of The Year, Karan’s last full-length feature film, was released in 2012. That is, if you don’t count the short segment that Johar had directed for Bombay Talkies in 2013. For Ajay Devgn, the last directorial stint happened back in 2008, for his home production U Me Aur Hum
Shivay 13 Days Worldwide Box Office Collection is approximately 1.5 crore and it is quite expected and if we be practical enough the possibility of minting less money tomorrow also. But it will be interesting to see if the movie can raise the collection on Friday or not!
