The collection of Pawan Kalyan’s Sardar Gabbar Singh has been completely slowed down by Sarainodu at the U.S. box office in its third weekend. Trade experts had predicted that Allu Arjun-starrer Sarainodu would drive fans of the Mega family away from Sardar Gabbar Singh in North America. But none had expected the collection of the Pawan Kalyan-starrer to fall so low. Its screen count and business has been reduced to almost nil at the U.S. box office in its third weekend.
The movie has received mixed reviews from critics but favorable response from audience. As a result it managed to collect such impressive business total across the Telugu states despite abrupt fall from the second day. Due to massive initial buzz, it took an excellent start on box office but faced a big dip in its business on the second day. With the support of fans, it continued with a steady performance and register a good total after a 3 weeks.
Sardar Gabbar Singh, by conducting 107.5 Crores business (Theatricals + Satellite + Others), registered as the second biggest movie in Tollywood after Baahubali in Pre Release business. Sardar, for Theatricals, alone did 60.58 crores business in Telugu States and 81.88 Crores for worldwide (Including Prints and Publicity it concludes at 85 Crores Approx).
The Hindi rights were bagged for 6 crores including all and thus the total theatrical business for both Telugu and Hindi amounts to 90 Crores Approx. Overall, including Satellite, Audio rights and Audio telecast rights it has conducted 107.5 Crores business. Sardaar Gabbar Singh has started its 21st day on an average note and estimated to add around 1 cr to its account across Telugu states.
