The recent present of Tinu Suresh Desai Rustom has entered in its 4th week at the box office. The three-week run of the film was full of up and downs as movie start its box office collection with a great buzz at the worldwide box office. The main lead role of the film played by Akshay Kumar and Ileana D’Cruz. The story of the film is penned by Vipul K Sharma. The movie is all about an ex-navy officer K.M Nanavati who killed his wife’s boyfriend.
Rustom lost its 50% of occupancy rate in the third week of release because of the latest movie arrivals. If we talk about the overseas box office collection of the film then, Rustom has done a great job at the overseas box office and earned a total income of more than 70 Cr at the overseas box office. The third week of the film was average as because of the fresh movie arrivals, Rustom faced low occupancy in its third week which results in the low income of 7.71 Cr at the domestic box office.
In the third week, Rustom faced more drop and raked the decent amount of 7.71 crores including 5.27 crores of weekend and 2.44 crores of weekdays. Now it is running in the fourth week and has Sonakshi Sinha starrer female-centric movie Akira in opposite. Despite this, the Akshay starrer reported decent business in the weekend.
On the 4th Friday, Rustom recorded almost 50% of drop than previous day and minted 0.28 crore. On the next day, being Saturday it showed little rise and raked 0.40 crore*. On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, it added the amount of 0.55 crore* to its account. With this, 24 days total collection of the movie has become 125.95 crores* net on domestic box office.
