Well looks like the fans won’t have to wait for that long to catch their favourite star on the big screen.
Due to its gripping story line and profound performances of lead stars, Rustom received very positive reviews from critics as well as moviegoers. Immense craze and positive reactions from audience boosted the excitement of Akshay’s fans, also made it to run for long steadily.
This movie is now running in its third week and has fresh release A Flying Jatt in opposite. Despite this, it recorded decent response in the weekend and minted 5.27 crores, which included 1.29 crore of Friday, 1.89 crore of Saturday and 2.09 crores of Sunday from Indian screens. Till the end of its 20th day, total India collection of Rustom is recorded as 123.55 crores*.
Now the movie is once again running in weekdays and getting lesser occupancy as usual. On its third Monday, it faced almost 50% of drop than Friday and minted 0.67 crore. On the next day i.e. Tuesday, it reported almost similar response and estimated to add the amount of 0.62 crore* to its account. With this total 19 days domestic collection of Rustom has become 123.55 crores*. As per buzz, Akshay Kumar will be seen next in Sonakshi Sinha starrer Akira, directed by A R Murugadoss. A source even went ahead and said Akshay’s role will be a big surprise in Akira.
