After the excellent performance in the opening week, Akshay Kumar’s recent offering Rustom reported good business in the second weekend too. Despite fresh releases, it still has strong hold over audience across the country and ruling on box office. With positive response of audience and support of fans, the movie has successfully dominated the adjacent release Mohenjo Daro.
Rustom was release with one most awaited film Mohenjo Daro but captured a huge occupancy rate from the first day of release. The movie opened with a huge collection of 14.11 Cr and at the end of the first-weekend movie got the positive mouth of the audience and gather a huge income of more than 50 Cr. The film was made in a budget of 50 Cr and after spending first successful week movie, Rustom captured almost double of its box office collection.
Now the movie is running in its second week and showed a good performance in the weekend. On its second Friday, it faced almost 50% of drop than previous day and minted the amount of 4.41 crores. On the next day being Saturday, it showed decent growth in its occupancy and collected 5.77 crores. Today is the 11th day of the film or we can say the last day of the second weekend, Today film got an average response at the box office and at the last movie gathered an income of 4.10 Cr which is estimated by the makers of the film.
On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, it witnessed higher response than last 2 days and recorded good increment from evening shows. As per the report, it is likely to add the amount of around 7.50 crores* to its account. With this, total domestic collection of Rustom till its second weekend will become 108.58 crores*.
