Sivakarthikeyan’s Remo has emerged victorious at the Chennai box office. The Tamil movie has continued to make good collection in its second weekend, while the business of Devi has seen a decent growth in the capital city of Tamil Nadu. Remo, which had minted Rs 1.71 crore from 366 shows in its first weekend, has raked in Rs 1.27 crore in its second weekend. It indicates that the Tamil movie has retained good viewership to take its 10-day total tally to Rs 4.82 crore.
Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Rekka has been pushed to the third place and the business of this flick has seen a huge dip. The movie raked in Rs 28.39 lakh from 156 shows in its second weekend after earning Rs 65.72 lakh from 219 shows. The 12 day total collection stands at Rs 1.44 crore. All the three movies enjoyed decent to great occupancies for the prime-time shows on Saturday and Sunday as no big Tamil films were released last weekend, say trade reports.
Remo has crossed Rs 50 Crores in the worldwide market in just one week. The movie has collected Rs 37 Crores gross in India and Rs 13 Crores in Overseas in the first week. This makes a total of Rs 50 Crores worldwide. As said the movie Remo has already crossed the break-even and the distributors are happy with the profits.
