The business of Sivakarthikeyan’s Remo remained solid in its third weekend in Chennai. The movie has turned out to be the actor’s biggest hit in the capital city of Tamil Nadu. Remo has now beaten Sivakarthikeyan’s previous best of Rs 3.60 crore set by his earlier flick Rajini Murugan in the capital city of Tamil Nadu.
With Sivakarthikeyan and Keerthy Suresh in the leading roles Remo created a good impact on family audience. In Tamil Nadu alone this movie is getting its theatrical release in more than 500 screens. The domestic lifetime collection of Remo is 51 crore and it is still going very strong.
Remo is a declared a hit and Remo total lifetime box office collection after 16 days is 58 Crore. But it has to face competition from big budget movies like Prabhu Deva’s Devi and Vijay Sethupathi’s Rekka but Remo managed to make its mark with its different story and good marketing strategy. The festive mood of the audiences was added as an extra advantage for Remo in its initial release days. As the movie is still going strong in theatres there, is a great speculation whether it can cross a 100 crore mark.
Remo is going a great business in US, UK and Malaysia. The movie has minted 2.1 crore by the end of its third weekend in the US. While it is 1.5 Crore in UK and 2.7 Crore in Malaysia which has again turned out to be one of best overseas business zone for a South Indian movie.
