Narathan (Tamil) Opening Box Office Report

Narathan is directed by directed by Naga Venkatesh and Produced by Vetrivel Film International, The Principal India, Sajith V Nambiar Starring Nakul, Premgi Amaren and Nikesha Patel. Musci is composed by Mani Sharma and Cinematography handled by Sanjay Loknath and movie edited by Shyjith Kumaran. Narathan released in the theatres on April 01, 2016.

We have seen the Tamil film industry rising high in recent few months with many successful releases and the audience expectations have risen again with the release of Narathan to continue this fame. The latest movie Narathan which is awaited Tamil films has entered the box office today on 1 April 2016. Released on solo screens both from Kollywood, the film did a fantastic performance on its opening day.


First day collection of Narathan is tremendous and the film opened with high public response in the dominated regions. It maintained the audience expectations and finally made a good start by collecting around 3.5 crores* as its first day income. The figures are well enough and have fulfilled the critics & audience hopes up to a limit. One reason of the successful performance of Narathan is that there were no good films as competitors from Kollywood screens right now. It is a mid budget film with cost of 15 crores and a good star power and has released on high number of screens and expected to collect decent income in the coming days of the weekend.

Vishnu (Nakul) is on his way from Coimbatore for his new job and also to see his Fiance who is his uncle’s daughter. During his journey he meets Pavitra (Nikesha Patel) and upon his arrival in Chennai, problems begin. Simultaneously Narathan (Premji) a renowned movie director is at his uncle’s place who is also a movie producer. Narathan narrates his story to Vishnu’s uncle and interestingly all the incidents have been happening in Vishnu’s and all the other people’s lives. Narathan is an unusual love story.
