Tamil star Chiyaan Vikram’s recently released Tamil language film Iru Mugan, meaning two-faced, has created a rage among the audiences. The box office collection has scored up high since the opening day thus imbibing lots of appreciation from the lead stars. Debutante filmmaker Anand Shankar has live up to the expectation along with state-of-the-art cinematography and superb sequence approach.
Sci-fi action thriller Iru Mugan enjoyed 4-days extended weekend thoroughly and added excellent business figures to its account from Tamil state. Unfortunately the movie has not received much positive reviews from critics, but this has not resulted in negative. Due to immense excitement of fans as well as audience, Vikram starrer has dragged itself to a safe & reputed side.
Made under a budget of approximately 85 crores INR along with tension emerged in the region of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Still, the love and affection for superstar Vikram seemed endless. In Tamil Nadu itself, the movie earned almost Rs. 10 crores with adjoining region earning up to 5 to 6 crores INR. Produced under Thammens Films, Iru Mugan collection for the 1st week in India has generated revenue of Rs. 22.65 crores.
With this 7 days total collection of Iru Mugan has become 28 crores from around 400 screens of Tamil Nadu. From Andhra Pradesh / Telangana and Kerala, it reported the business of 20.75 crores* and 3.65 crores* respectively. Not only from India but from overseas too, it is getting quite good response and raked approx. 3.75 crores from there so far. Globally it has done the business of more than 70 crores gross in 7 days.
