Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Amy Jackson‘s Freaky Ali hit screens yesterday. The film clashed with Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra’s Baar Baar Dekho, but with an intriguing storyline and a good cast, Freaky Ali had a good chance to make its place at the box office, however looks like it hasn’t been able to do that. While there weren’t huge expectations from Freaky Ali, the film has had a poor start with only 10-15 per cent occupancy across India.
Sohail Khan directed Freaky Ali is based on American comedy film Happy Gilmore. The storyline of the movie revolves around Nawazzuddin Siddiqui who is an extortion debt collector and has the ultimate zeal of becoming a golfing sensation. And how his enthusiasm and determination leads him to his ultimate goal of becoming a sensational golfer.
As per the fan following of Nawazzudin Siddiqui even the viewers in overseas have acknowledged the actor in many instances, and also the charm of Amy Jackson might do wonders there. With a screen space of almost 2500 all over the world, Freaky Ali has all the potentials to acquire an innumerable number of moviegoers. Therefore the film is expected to collect at least 3.5 crores at the overseas box office on its first day of release.
With a budget of almost Rs. 65 crores and a screen space of almost 2500 all over the world the filmmakers are expecting to witness an impressive figure in its first day of total box office collection (India and Overseas). However, with a prediction of collecting Rs. 5 crores in the Indian box office and Rs. 3.5 crores in the overseas box office Freaky Ali is expected to collect Rs. 8.5 crores on its first day of total box office collection. And as expected the strong star cast might also do wonders at the box office.
