Freaky Ali Review by Taran Adarsh, Komal Nahta- Anupama Chopra, KRK, Rajeev Masand Freaky Ali Review

The plot of Freaky Ali revolves around Nawazuddin’s character, who is an ordinary man but gets involved in the world of golf. It is a rags-to-riches story and leaves the audience in splits. Directed by Sohail Khan, Freaky Ali also features Arbaaz Khan and Amy Jackson in key roles and has all the elements of drama, entertainment, comedy and romance.

The film has created a huge buzz among movie-goers, considering that it boosts of a stellar cast and Sohail as the director. Also, the film breaks the myth about golf being played by only the riches and manages to encourage the commoners to play the game.

Ali (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) is an extortion debt collector for the local goon along with Maqsood (Arbaaz Khan). His fate turns when one day he and Maqsood go to a golf course to collect extortion, after waiting for many hours for a man to give him money. Ali putts the ball in just one ace for he has a gifted natural swing, This not only surprises the man but his caddy as well who knows him. What follows is an inspirational story of a simple extortion debt collector to a golfing sensation, and along the way of him becoming a champion.

The Freaky Ali movie shows us that the film has a funny streak a mile wide. Nawaz seems pitch perfect in his avatar as an accidental golfing hero. Powerful performance of the actor Siddiqui, which he himself is more than enough to carry forward the film in a right direction.
