Maneesh Sharma’s directorial thriller drama movie Fan has already completed its 2 weeks journey at box office with overall decent performance. Being superstar Shahrukh Khan starrer and heavily promoted, it was expected to be blockbuster but unfortunately it has not come out in the same way. Due to initial buzz, the movie started on a good note but got failed to maintain its pace for long. It is not easy to digest that SRK’s movie has lost almost all its hold over audience in just 2 weeks of release.
Fan is the second biggest earner in India and the highest grosser at the overseas box office. In India, Maneesh Sharma’s directorial film earned an income of around Rs. 118.50 crore gross (Rs. 82.95 crore net), while from the overseas box office it accumulated Rs. 64.96 crore ($ 9.780 million). The two weeks domestic and overseas income takes the worldwide earnings to Rs. 183.46 crore.
Now YRF’s this latest venture is running in the third week and as expected getting very low occupancy in theaters because latest release Baaghi is getting well. On Friday it received more drop than Thursday and minted the amount of 0.45 cr. On the next day i.e. Saturday being weekend the day resulted out in little higher and added the amount of 0.51 cr to its account.
In second week journey, it just collected Rs. 11.20 crores at the box office. After its second week movie, however, entered into the 3rd week with really low income at BO screens and average responses at overseas BO screens. Movie added Rs. 0.65 crores on its 3rd Friday and Rs. O.75 crores on its 3rd Saturday. Now Fan stand at the total grand box office collection of Rs. 146.25 crores on worldwide box office in 17 days.
