Telugu movie Dhruva has performed well in its third weekend at the US box office. The release of Ram Gopal Varma’s Vangaveeti did not have much impact on the collections of Ram Charan’s film. Aamir Khan’s Dangal is in the numero uno position in the US box office among the Indian movies. In its first weekend, the movie collected $33,59,204 (Rs 22.83 crore) from 331 screens. Ram Gopal Varma’s Vangaveeti is in the third place by earning $53,882 (Rs 36.62 lakh) from 24 screens.
Dhruva received complete advantage of Veera Sivaji’s failure at box office and being only good option to watch it was minted the highest amount of the week among all running movies. Till the end of its 3rd weekend, Dhruva was recorded the total collection of 43.22 crores* at Indian box office that was included 30.75 crores* of first week, 10 crores* of its second week and rest 2.47 crores* of the third weekend.
The gripping story of Dhruva and the superb performance of its star cast have resulted out in such excellent performance of the movie even after receiving low stars reviews from some critics after premieres. From its 18th day, as was expected movie again started facing drops in its business. On the third Monday it was minted the collection of only 0.46 crore* and on third Tuesday with almost similar response collected 0.42 crore* from Indian screens.
On its 21st day i.e. third friday, it has recorded slight fall in its occupancy and done the business of 0.36 crore*. On the last day of week, its collection has been recorded as 0.27 crore*. Till the end of its third week, the total collection of Dhruva has become 44.73 crores* at Indian box office
