Dear Zindagi is being appreciated for its novelty by the audience. Many films fail to do what Dear Zindagi did so cleverly and that is adding the stardom of Shah Rukh Khan to a coming-of-age movie. The film, which is co-produced by Gauri Khan, Karan Johar and SRK, collected Rs 8.75 crore on Friday and followed it up with Rs 11.25 crore on Saturday.
Dear Zindagi features superstar Shahrukh Khan and Alia Bhatt, as always they both have performed superbly well. Especially the charming girl Alia, who has nailed everything and left strong impact over viewers. Everyone liked the story and the performances of lead stars, director Gauri Shinde is also being appreciated for her dedication.
Occupancy was high for the 3rd day as it was Sunday. Due to holiday, people preferred to go for Dear Zindagi as entertainment option. Film’s occupancy reached to whopping 55% by the afternoon shows and it increased to 60% by the evening. Film’s story and direction are strong points which are driving good footfalls towards the theatres. Dear Zindagi 3rd day collection was reported 13.60 Cr.
In just 3 days, Dear Zindagi has recovered its entire production cost of 30 crores. Maximum contribution in its business has made from metro cities i.e. multiplexes, so it is positively expected to remain strong in weekdays also. A romantic-horror Saansein-The Last Breath, has also been released on the same day but got affected badly due to this successfully running SRK-Alia starrer.
