Dear Zindagi had a steady run at the box office after collecting a good revenue from the domestic as well as overseas market. With the third week running Dear Zindagi seems to have taken a step down as the mass audience are seen getting drawn towards Befikre. Though this is a natural phenomenon, this Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer flick did manage to leave an effective mark in the minds of the audience.
From the first week, Dear Zindagi witnessed overwhelmed response from moviegoers and earned excellent revenue of 47.00 crores. In the 3rd weekend , it remained strong even after the release of Sujoy Ghosh Kahaani 2, earning a revenue of 64.44 crores. Now the movie is having its third-week run at the box office and is also having a limited screen in India because of the much devoted Ranveer Singh and Vaani Befikre. Dear Zindagi so far raked the business of Rs 65.42 crore approx.
Dear Zindagi is a slice of life which shows the problems and complications of modern day life. The film shows the young generations with their expectations from life and the disappointments if that is not realized. Here aAia who has issues and expectations from life meets filures and becomes disappointed, her mentor Jehangir Khan played by Shah Rukh Khan, gives a new direction to life of ALia Bhatt’s character Kyra.
