WWE Money in the Bank ended with Dean Ambrose cashing in on Seth Rollins, who had just defeated Roman Reigns, to become the new World Heavyweight Champion, capping off a fantastic pay-per-view that also featured AJ Styles defeating John Cena with the help of The Club.
Dean Ambrose is your new WWE World Heavyweight Champion coming out of an incredible main event at this weekend’s WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view in the “Big Fight City” of Las Vegas.
WWE went nearly half an hour into overtime as Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns took each other to the absolute limit in what will undoubtedly be a Match of the Year candidate for the promotion. It was Rollins who came up victorious after two Pedigrees, pinning Reigns to become a two-time world champion.
Seconds later, the “Lunatic Fringe” ran out from the crowd and attacked his former SHIELD partner, cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase he had won earlier in the night. Ambrose then pinned Rollins off his Dirty Deeds finishing maneuver to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for the first time in his career.
