With a collection of Rs 270.47 crore, Dangal is on the verge of surpassing Sultan’s collection of Rs 300.45 crore, which was the highest earning movie before Dangal takes the front. With Rs 270.47 crore in just 10 days in the domestic market, Dangal is just the perfect gift for this Chrismas and New Year. Dangal was just about Rs 30 crores behind in smashing Sultan’s box office records in the domestic market after Dangal’s 10 days business. Now after two more days, it is already official that the movie is the biggest earning movie of 2016. Where the 11th day collection of Dangal is 22 crore, Dangal 13th day box office collection in India is 17 crore approximately.
Dangal on social media and ground as well, this is why Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial still has excellent hold over the audience globally. It is not less than a miracle, that a movie is collecting double digit business figures after 10 days of its release. With its majestic run, Aamir Khan starrer has emerged as the fourth highest grossing movie of all time in Bollywood after his own 2014’s PK, Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan & Sultan.
On 2nd Monday, the movie reported only around 30% of drop than last Friday and added the amount of 13.45 crores to its account. Then on the next day i.e. Tuesday, it reported slight fall in its occupancy and minted the amount of 11.41 crores*, which has made its 12 days domestic total as 296.10 crores* net / 411.25 crores gross. From international market too, it is getting wonderful response and done the business of approx. 160 crores from there so far.
