A man who was part of the security team of Akshay Kumar was run over by a moving train on Monday evening when he was trying to disembark at the Mathura junction. The man, identified as Manoj Sharma, was a resident of Agra and was returning to Mathura where he was part of the security entourage of Kumar who is shooting for Toilet Ek Prem Katha in the city.
The incident took place on Monday around 8 pm when Sharma tried to disembark from Karnataka Express at Platform Number 2 at the Mathura Junction. Manoj lost his balance while disembarking from the moving train and came under the train and died instantly, the station master told Times Of India. Karnataka Express halts for only two minutes at the station and on Monday the train was almost two hours late.
Officials said that the train — which halts at Mathura for two minutes — had been running late on Monday by over an hour. Sharma attempted to alight at Platform No. 2 of Mathura Station when the train was still in motion, which resulting in him losing his balance and falling to the tracks.
At around 8 pm, when Karnataka Express was passing by platform number two, Manoj attempted to alight from train which was still moving. He lost his balance and came under its wheels and died on the spot.
